Ft. Benning Martin Army Community Hospital Visitors and Staff Parking Structure - Columbus, Georgia
Two dedicated parking garages for visitors and staff at the new Army Hospital and Clinics located in Ft. Benning, GA. Precast garages will match architectural precast panels on the hospital for color and texture. Each garage has approximately 1,000 vehicles, high percentages that are special large sized accessible spaces for soldier ambulatory clinics. These parking garages will be design and constructed by TRC Companies under contract with Turner Universal. The parking garages are a critical portion of this projected LEED Silver project incorporating sustainable features such as landscaped top levels, locally mined aggregate, regionally produced components , high percentage of recycled materials, natural day lighting due to higher than minimum floor to floor heights, CFL lighting with daylight monitoring, low VOC paints and coatings, electric car charging stations for military and civilian personnel, minimal site disturbance, parking for bicycles, motorcycles and van pools. Both garages are accessed via precast vehicle bridges and are design to integrate with the existing site topography.
