Patient Tower and Outpatient Services | Schneck Medical Center Seymour, Indiana

A result of master planning, this facility accommodates the rising demand for outpatient services, creating a new outpatient identity by consolidating functions. The phased project includes a new entry and lobby, inpatient care renovations and parking. Registration, emergency department and radiology are located in the front, with a women's center adjacent to radiology. The ED is larger and flexible, with 14 treatment rooms and two trauma rooms to handle large volumes.

An ambulatory procedure center includes cardiac rehabilitation, a pain center, I.V. treatment and infusion stations, and blood draw area. An endoscopy suite with 10 prep and recovery rooms and four procedure rooms is adjacent to the APC.

Moving outpatient functions provided room for a new loading and receiving area for central sterile and bulk supply.

A 70-seat community room, a relocated lab, a new pharmacy, offices, conference room, and a teaching resource area are also included.

The second floor includes same-day surgery, a lobby, 18 prep and recovery rooms, post-anesthesia unit, six more step-down beds, two new nurse stations and a teaching lab. Semi-private rooms were converted to private, with rooms for obese patients on each floor. The third floor includes a pediatric unit as well as a two room sleep lab.
