Set to rise on a wooded site in Chesterfield County, Virginia, the future Western Area High School will span 330,000 square feet and serve up to 2,400 students. Located at 17500 Duval Road near Moseley, the facility is targeting an August 2027 opening and will include 89 classrooms.
TRC Worldwide Engineering is providing precast engineering services for the project, which will incorporate 225 insulated precast concrete wall panels as part of the school’s exterior envelope. These architectural panels will feature a mix of finishes, including brick, form liner textures, and custom surface treatments, combining performance with design versatility.
This addition to the Chesterfield County school system is planned to address rapid enrollment growth and will serve as a key educational anchor for the surrounding community.
