The Standard at Tallahassee – Tallahassee, Florida

TRC Worldwide Engineering provided precast engineering services for the six-level parking structure at The Standard at Tallahassee — a mixed-use student housing development that seamlessly blends residential, amenity, and retail functions.

At the core of the site is a 180,000-square-foot precast parking garage supporting over 900 vehicles. The structure is fully wrapped by housing and retail, acting as a concealed yet critical anchor to the development. TRC’s design minimized the garage’s presence on the streetscape while maintaining full vehicular capacity and functional efficiency.

Key features of the garage include a double-ramp configuration with dedicated up and down lanes for smoother internal flow, as well as open-air courtyards that introduce natural daylight and passive ventilation throughout the deck. The garage also includes multiple integrated access points for direct connection to student residences, amenity levels, and ground-level restaurants.
