The Rutherford County One Stop is a single-story, wood-framed civic facility offering streamlined access to essential public services—including a DMV, visitor center, and vehicle tag and renewal operations—all under one roof.
TRC Worldwide Engineering provided structural design for the 16,000 GSF building, which is supported by shallow foundations and a soil-supported slab-on-grade system. The design eliminates the need for perimeter stem walls, allowing for a consistent site elevation and simplified construction. Pre-engineered wood trusses frame the roof, supporting the building’s rustic architectural character.
Showcasing exposed timber elements, detailed masonry work, and heavy timber accents, the facility strikes a balance between functionality and visual warmth. A central public plaza at the entrance invites community interaction and reinforces the building’s civic mission.
Strategically positioned on the east side of Rutherford County, this project stands as a durable, accessible, and welcoming hub for residents.
