Reading K-12 School – Reading, Ohio

TRC Worldwide Engineering served as the precast engineer for this significant project, which combined three schools into a single modern facility designed to accommodate approximately 15,000 students. The project utilized 256 precast wall panels, totaling 70,000 SF, contributing to a combined building footprint of nearly 140,000 SF.

Our team engineered a hybrid solution that replaced the original brick-and-block design with thermally efficient precast sandwich wall panels. Many panels incorporated form liners to emulate the look of natural stone, offering both aesthetic appeal and durability.

We helped deliver an envelope design with no studs or drywall on the exterior; electrical boxes and accessories were integrated directly into the precast panels during fabrication, preserving the integrity of the thermal barrier and simplifying on-site construction.
