TRC Worldwide Engineering provided structural engineering services for Oak Street Apartments and Garage, a seven-story, 4-over-3 podium development in Lakeland, Florida. Spanning 360,000 square feet, the project integrates multi-family residential living with structured parking and townhomes.
The first three levels consist of a parking garage and townhomes, utilizing post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete slabs, concrete columns, and shear walls for structural integrity. The upper four levels house multi-family residential units, built with light-frame wood and concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction, adhering to Type IIIA construction standards. A large amenity space on Level 4 enhances the residential experience.
The development incorporates soil-improved shallow foundations, a cast-in-place stormwater retention vault, and pre-engineered wood floor and roof trusses, ensuring durability and efficiency.
