Marriott Oceanfront – Pompano Beach, FL
TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. provided structural engineering design, construction administration and threshold inspection services on this new $25 million, 150,000 square foot oceanfront resort. The 219-room boutique-style hotel off rs upscale amenities and services including private balconies and views of the Atlantic, more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and function space, multiple pools, a rooftop terrace and McCoy’s Oceanfront, an upscale seafood restaurant.
Key Structural Components:
- Post-tensioned concrete fl at plates supported on concrete columns and walls
- Precast concrete joists above ballroom area
- Floating slabs at the mechanical room located on roof level
- Foundations are composed of pile caps supported on 16” augercast concrete piles
