TRC Worldwide Engineering provided structural engineering consultancy for The Learning Zone at Smyrna, a completed childcare facility serving families in the heart of Rutherford County.

This single-story, wood-framed building is supported on a shallow foundation and spans 16,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed space dedicated to early childhood development. The structure supports bright, engaging interiors tailored to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, aligning with The Learning Zone’s mission to inspire imagination, foster innovation, and build a strong sense of family.

Now a thriving part of the Smyrna community, The Learning Zone continues to offer a safe, dynamic environment for children to grow—backed by a research-based curriculum and a commitment to nurturing the next generation.
