To respond to the growing needs of population it serves, Jefferson Regional Medical Center sought a new vision for its facility — a 237-bed replacement hospital, incorporating quality and value within a realistic budget.
The design team examined the existing campus, service lines, physician recruitment, clinical utilization, financial capacity, facility access, campus presence and visibility. This data was utilized to develop extensive conceptual design options to strategically decide on the most viable option for further development. Once a conceptual design was selected, a refined Schematic Design Package and Project Construction/Total Project Cost Estimate was performed.
The resulting phased replacement aligned with JRMC’s strategic goals of enhancing patient experience, growing market share, modernizing the facility, bolstering recruitment, improving operational efficiency and preparing financially for the future.
