Located in downtown Jacksonville, the JEA Office Building is a seven-story, 200,000-square-foot Class A office building, designed to serve as the headquarters for the Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA). Adjacent to the office tower is an eight-story, 295,000-square-foot parking garage, providing essential infrastructure for employees and visitors. TRC Worldwide Engineering provided structural engineering consulting services, supporting the permitting and construction process for this landmark development.
The office building features a structural steel frame system, utilizing steel beams, steel columns, and lateral bracing, enclosed by full-height glass curtain walls to maximize natural light and energy efficiency. The parking garage structure consists of precast double tees, precast panels, and columns, ensuring durability and ease of construction. The foundation system integrates deep foundation steel micropiles, offering enhanced stability for both structures.
