TRC Worldwide Engineering provided precast engineering services for the new parking structure at Albany International Airport - part of the airport’s most ambitious capital improvement in over two decades. Completed in 2020, the $45 million project added more than 1,050 covered parking spaces, increasing ALB’s total capacity by 20% to over 7,000 spaces.
The five-level, 398,600-square-foot structure features precast concrete construction and accommodates approximately 200 vehicles per level. A heated, enclosed pedestrian bridge connects the garage directly to the airport terminal, improving convenience and safety for travelers.
Despite its complexity, built within a tight footprint between the terminal access road and a high-security identification area, this structure marked a major milestone in ALB’s expansion, supporting long-term passenger growth and infrastructure modernization.
