A mixed-use project combining retail, residential and parking in a space constrained urban setting in the Gulch in Nashville, Tennessee. The original parking structure design called for a cast-in-place, posttensioned parking structure. TRC developed an integrated design, manufacturing and construction delivery system for a 6-story, 402 spaces, 147,000 SF precast parking structure at a cost reduction of 75% per space saving the client $1.5 million.
As prime designers and builders we worked with the project architects who influenced the overall aesthetics of the structure and managed the MEP design features of the project. Early release pre-cast detailing allowed our selected precast manufacturing to begin prior to completion of final plans. Additionally, foundation construction will begin before pre-cast manufacturing is completed.
