Mr. Fick’s skills include defining and managing project scope, managing the design process, and providing leadership to the HVAC Engineering group. Douglas has specialized in healthcare and higher education design for most of his career. He has designed many healthcare projects of varying sizes, scope, and complexity in the past 24 years.
Mr. Fick has been responsible for many complex projects including chilled water facilities, surgery expansions and patient tower renovations. Doug has been instrumental in the success of several Purdue University projects, including the Cordova Recreation Center and Campus Chilled Water Renovations project. Doug believes that communication is of significant importance in the design process and he is committed to communicating the design intent to every level of the building maintenance and operational staff.
In addition to providing quality design services, Doug brings a strong commitment to community to every project. His involvement in professional societies keeps him abreast of technology and facility advances. His community involvement gives him the opportunity to practice and learn alternative leadership styles and project management skills.
